Watched Underworld - Rise of the Lycans just now.

And if you've watched it too, here's some interesting trivia for you!

Remember the black nigga lycan in the show, the one who subsequently calls himself 'Raze' in the modern setting?

Here's what I found on Wiki while looking up some background history on the movie.

-----------------------
Kevin Grevioux is an American actor, screenwriter, and comic book writer.

Grevioux was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent most of his childhood in Minnesota, Boston, and New Jersey. He has been seen in such films as The Mask, Steel, Congo, Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes remake and the 2003 vampire vs. werewolf film, Underworld. He has also worked as a stuntman on occasion.

Underworld was Grevioux's first produced writing credit. He came up with the original premise and wrote the original screenplay along with director Len Wiseman, launching the Underworld franchise. He appears in the film himself as a lycan Raze and returned as the character in the Underworld prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, which he will also be adapting into a comic book mini-series. He also expressed an interest in telling more Underworld stories in comic form if this proves successful.[1]

Using Romeo and Juliet as an archetype, Grevioux, a former microbiologist with a background in genetic engineering, actually based Underworld on his experiences with interracial dating and the tension that it often causes. He also brought a scientific element to the world of vampires and werewolves by basing vampirism and lycanthropy on a viral mutagen rather than the mysticism typically associated with these two mythic creatures.

Wtf.

Big black nigga man as actor? Fine by me.
Big black nigga man as stuntman? Fine by me.

But.

Big black nigga man as screenwriter? omg.
Big black nigga man as microbiologist? omg. x2

This really proves the saying : Don't judge a book by its cover.

Anyhow, the movie was pretty good. It gave a really good insight into all the flashbacks which were shown during the 1st/2nd movies in the series.

Next movies to watch : Push, Wolverine, Transformers!

today i went to loh tuan for 3 things

1. buy new headphones cos im missing the left side ear bud
2. cut hair
3. check out oakleys sunglasses

i went to the optical store and saw this

omg chio pls. but it was like around $680........

now i was actually hesitant alr, but STILL willing to spend the monies if it fulfilled 2 conditions.

1. the lenses have a degree suitable to mine

2. it could be ready in less than a month

turns out that neither conditions were satisfied.
lenses could only be made with a max degree of 400 due to its curvature, and it required 2 months to be ready.

in addition, if i made the lenses, the total price could sky rocket to a thousand bucks omggggggggggggg.
so in the end, never buy. quite sad really, cos i kinda liked it.
oh well,
fysh 1 - impulsive buying 0!
