on the topic of Nickelback, here's how they got their name for those who dont know.
heard it on the radio like a couple of yrs back.

Well apparently these good men came today to form a band, but they havent thought of a name yet.
so one day, while they were at this cafe, one of the band members ordered a latte.
he gave the cashier the money, and the cashier said "here's ur nickel back, sir."
That guy thought it was pretty cool, so..

Voila. Nickelback.

On the topic of band names, 3 Doors Down also had quite an interesting origin.
something bout their hotel room being mixed up and they were given a room 3 storeys below their actual room.

Thus, 3DoorsDown.

actually, i might be spinning tales here. because i could have forgotten certain details or whatsoever. if it aint true, treat it as me coming up with creative history for famous bands.
