hmm alot of people havent been updating their blogs since SIP started......

i'm guilty of it too, so here's an update!

well, okay as many of u guys already know, im working at Mediacorp's Chinese News department.

Things i do everyday include cutting soundbites, mending the news hotline, going out to different places to interview people, and trixxing the interns in the newsroom.

so far, so good i guess :)

cutting soundbites is the most boring job ever, followed by hotline. i'd say that reporting is the best since i get to get my ass out of the boring office and walk around/attend events.

just this week, i've been to the Police HQ at Ministry of Manpower, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Sim Lim Square. covered the events, then came back to do a write-up.

doing the write-up is another story though, since my chinese vocab isnt that power at all. i look at my original article, then my vetted article, and all i can do is /sigh.

Hotline is also pretty okay (i wouldnt say fun cos u get retards calling in.)
some kid just called in and asked if spiderman had died. wtf lar.

people also call in to ask for help.
kenna retrenched, ask for help,
kenna fined, ask for help,
kenna whacked, ask for help,
kenna bullied, ask for help.

seriously lar, you think i wanna listen to ur sob story on how so and so fined your ass and how u have no money to pay issit. what would u want me to do? pay your fine for u?

if i have one wish, i would want to know who or what, put the idea of calling the hotline for help, in these guys.

also, there are people who call for the most mundane of things.
one called because his neighbour was throwing underwear at his doorstep.
one called because she couldnt buy the japanese plates that were supposed to come with the purchase of darlie toothpaste.
one called to say that the dressing of whatever newscaster was ugly.
one called because he felt that roasting chestnuts near the busstop was dangerous.

and whats the best part? they all want reporters to go down and take a look.

seriously the public seems to think that mediacorp has 1000000000000000 reporters.

ah fuck talking about retards in the society just pisses me off.
